Chinese Cabbage with Shitake Mushrooms
Ingredients: (serves 2 or 3): |
10 ounces of chopped Chinese cabbage
2 ounces of Shitake mushrooms
3 tbsps oil
2 cloves of garlic, cut into slices
3 quarter-sized slices of ginger
1 scallion stalk, white part only, cut into slices
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup of chicken soup
1 tsp corn starch with 2 tsps cold water in small bowl
2 pinches of Sichuan red peppercorns

Directions:
(1) Put the wok on medium heat, add oil.
(2) When the oil gets hot, add ginger, garlic, and scallions.
(3) When you can smell the spices, add the cabbage and mushrooms. Stir for three minutes.
(4) Add salt and chicken soup. Let simmer for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
(5) After the food cooks, add the corn starch and water. Add pepper.
(6) Stir. Put on a plate. You're finished.
