Spicy Shredded Beef
Ingredients: (serves 2 or 3): |
1/2 pound of sliced tender beef
4 tbsp oil

1 1/2 tsp flour mixed with 1 1/2 tsp cold water
2 tbsp hot water
|
1 tsp Chinese cooking wine
10 quarter-sized slices of ginger
|
3 cloves garlic, sliced
4 pickled whole red chilis, sliced
|
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp salt
|
1 tsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp sugar
|
1 stalk of finely diced scallion
|
Directions:
(1) Put the beef in a bowl and mix with flour and cold water and 1/2 tsp salt,
(2) Put the wok on high heat and add oil. After the oil begins to get hot, but not yet boiling, add the beef and stir.
(3) After 3 minutes add garlic, cooking wine, pickled chili, ginger,
onion, salt, soy sauce, hot water and stir again.
(4) Stir 4 or 5 minutes until the beef is cooked; add scallion, sugar, and stir.
(5) Turn off heat; put the beef on a plate.
You're finished!
